Maureen Fura has produced, written and directed media for higher education, nonprofits, and small businesses. She is the writer, director and producer of the documentary film, Dark Side of the Full Moon, an official selection in the Women’s International Film & Arts Festival, Los Angeles Women’s International Film Festival, Choice! Film Festival, the Green Mountain Film Festival, and The Council on Social Work Education Film Festival where it was awarded the Audience Choice Award. She has a Masters in Public Administration with an emphasis on social change organizations, which is how she got into storytelling. She uses film and storytelling as a tool for social change. She has over 20 years experience creating international and national intervention and prevention programs for marginal populations of youth, children, and families.
